About the Queens Park Group
(QPG) of London Independent Photography (LIP)
The Queens Park Group is an association of photographers
of all interests and experience. It consists of around 35 members
of London Independent Photography who live in North West London.
The group meet once a month, to show and discuss new work and projects,
exchange ideas and photography experiences, and socialise. It holds
meetings, members' exhibitions, workshops and talks, at the Dissenters
Gallery in North Kensington.
Photographers, whether beginners or experienced, amateur or professional,
are very welcome to join the Group. If you are interested please
contact Tony Wallis on 020 8960 1549 or email for a chat. You need
to be a member of LIP to take part. Please refer to the LIP website www.Londonphotography.org.uk for information about LIP and how to join. More about LIP can be
found on the links page.
PhotoSPEAK was the first Group exhibition with eleven members taking part, and was shown at Willesden Library Centre in November 2003. This was an opportunity for the group to raise local awareness of its existence. Eleven members of the group took part, and together displayed around 120 images. The next Group show, Around a
Mile was in May 2005, at the Dissenters Gallery (Link to website), and 16 members took part. The third exhibition was Decisive Movement, which took place in September 2006.
